Cut SIA CEO’s pay to $1, $3.85 mil pay after taxpayers’ bailout an insult to Singaporeans

After SIA had slashed capacity by 96%, CEO Goh will likely be shaking leg in his office. The government is also aware that air travel demand won’t be picking up anytime soon: Terminal 2 has been closed for 18 months and Terminal 4 will reopen only after air travel demand picks up. At $3.85 mil, Singaporeans are paying Goh more than $10,000 per day. For??

    It is not his fault that SIA suffers loss this year. So far
    he has achieved success in turning around the company to
    be lean and efficient in making innovations to enable the
    Company to face the competitive challenges.
    He rises up from being a admin officer to being the CEO of
    the company. He understand how the airlines work and way
    to improve operations.
    As a small shareholder, I know he is a rare talent

      If former SIA scholar CEO Goh were doing a good job, investors don’t seem to agree. Judging from the share price. With stagnant top and bottom lines past 5 years, Goh would have been sacked if SIA wsn’t a GLC.
